We are pleased to offer this museum worthy Victorian sterling silver Renaissance Revival ewer.

From the Barnard family in 1869.

The center oval medallion with shell cap and leaf and vine.

Cover with raised bell and globe finial, atop scrolling oval. The paneled spout above acanthus and berry mount.

Boldly cast classical mask handle. The figure set in garland and ribbon. The handle with rolled leaf cap and cascading leaf and berry to center panel.

Atop rolling acanthus and anthemion in two stages. Original gold wash interior in very fine state.

The museum worthy Victorian sterling Renaissance Revival ewer is 9 3/4 inches weighs 38 (standard) ounces.

Hallmarked as shown.

In excellent condition. Rich, lustreous sterling patina throughout. The raised mask handle, shell and floral retain their original hand chased detail. Original gold interior. Stands firm on table or museum display shelf. Faint remnants of removal, no thinning.
