This sterlingsilver English thimble has a wide rim and a grosgrain band withtheraised words \"STRATFORD-ON-AVON\". Above this is a band of daisydesigns. Therim is marked withthe English sterling hallmarks for Birmingham 1930 and themakers mark for Henry Griffith & Sons. It was part of their SPAthimble line.

The conditionis excellent, crisp and in round with no holes, dents or other damage.It is about an American size 9 (16 mm diameteropening). Bridget McConnel shows several of these thimbles on p. 156 ofher book The Story ofthe Thimble.
