We are pleased to offer this important George III sterling silver lion paw coffee pot.

Bearing beautiful period engraved stag with arrow piercing heart family crest.

From Emes & Barnard in 1815.

Without question, one of the largest shops of the period. Beginning in 1808 sold silver to the royal retailers Rundell Bridge and Rundell, and monumental racing trophies to Cattle and Barber of York.

In baluster form.

Centre with shell and leaf framed medallion. Stag with arrow piercing heart crest.

Rippling shell panel alternating with repeating scale rising from base. Unique.

The melon and bell cap final cover is detachable. A very rare design feature.

Spout rising from single chrysanthemum display set against thousand flower surface mount. Also, you guessed it, a rare feature.

Well cast tapering S-scroll handle with cascading floral to back and side panels.

Atop boldly fashioned winged vine cap twin florrete lion paw feet.

This important 1818 English shell and floral spray winged lion paw foot coffee pot is 9 1/2 inches tall.

Exceptionally thick, heavy guage sterling weighs 27 /2 (standard) ounces.

Hallmarked as shown.

Excellent condition. Rich, lustreous silver patina. The raised floral sprays and winged lion feet retain their original crisp, vibrant hand chased detail. Stands firm on table or display shelf. Cover closes flush and handle secure and with original heat stops.
