Even though I am not real knowledgeable when it comes to some musical instruments. At times, I come across musical instruments at estate sales or sales. I loved this one. I love the wood, detail, design, etc. It\'s an old one. I\'m not sure of the exact age. And, the way it was described at the estate it was purchased from was \'Vintage Steiner Fiddle\' I don\'t really know the difference between a violin or a fiddle as far as the way they are made. I think they are all made the same. Maybe violin for orchestra, opera and a fiddle for country music? Anyway, this one is missing a string. There\'s also surface wear, color/rub wear, scratches and places in the wood. Not anything that I see that would be a major issue. Because most of the wood looks to be intact. Imprinted/stamped on the back, near the neck, it has faded some- \'STEINER\' and it is also stamped the same inside. I do not see a paper label. Just the \'STEINER\'. 12 photos uploaded.
