Estate find 1920s Vintage SHELL PENN OIL Old Gas Station 1 qt. Glass Bottle:

Original Vintage 1920s Shell oil bottle 14 1/4\" tall .

Back in the day these bottles were filled and racked daily and left by the gas pumps. When you filled your auto you topped off your oil cause back then all the cars either leaked or burned oil!! In excellent condition no chips or cracks . Approx 14.5\" tall.

The bottle lettering is as follows:

Around the rim it says \"LIQUID CONTENTS - ONE QUART\"

Perpendicular to the rim it says \"FILL TO LINE\"

The center of the bottle has the shell badge with the word \"SHELL\"

Under the badge it says \"SHELL-PENN MOTOR OIL\"

Under that it says \"100% PURE PENNSYLVANIA\"

Under that it says \"SHELL RETROLEUM CORPORATION\"

At the very bottom around the rim it says \"BE UP-TO-DATE SHELLUBRICATE\"

The bottle is beautiful and the glass body is ribbed.Cool piece of automotive history!
