Eversharp (Wahl-Eversharp Co, Chicago) Large Gold Seal Doric Faceted Fountain Pen in superb, fully restored, working condition. The pen features a robust #9 adjustable nib (in medium) and the flat roller ball style clip. The pen is 5 3/8\" long; the diameter of the cap is about 9/16\". The robust 14K #9 adjustable nib is medium and imprinted: \"9-MADE IN U.S.A. EVERSHARP ADJUSTABLE\". When the nib slider is in the forward position, the nib writes firm. When the slider is in the rear position, the nib is flexible. The slider can also be used at any intermediate position for personal selection of nib flexibility. The pen has 12 faceted surfaces. One of the surfaces on the cap is imprinted: \"EVERSHARP - MADE IN U.S.A.\" All plastic and gold filled metal surfaces are smooth and shiny with no cracks, gouges, chew marks or engraved names. There is no brassing of the gold filled parts. The \"Gold Seal\" is positioned above the flat roller ball style clip. The pen uses the lever filling system with a new ink sac and probably dates from the early 1930\'s. An early Gold Seal Doric pen with a number 3 adjustable nib and in superb, working condition.
