Up for sale is a large section (1/4) of a U.S. 3.8\" James Bolt Sabot. The Bolt was dug at Jenkins Ferry, Arkansas and when found Sabot was in a bad state of deterioration. I stripped the sabot off in sections to allow for better cleaning of projectile. sale is for the one section shown, not the whole Sabot or the bolt which is shown for illustration purposes. Sabot consists of lead with a tin covering and was wrapped around the ribs of the shell. Authenticity guaranteed and !
