My husband and I made salt glazed stoneware ourselves and were in awe of the beautiful glazes Jerry Beaumont was getting at his studio in York, Maine. So when we met him at a folk art show in the mid-80’s, we not only picked his brain about his techniques, but we picked up this beautiful jar in his whimsical “flying rabbit “ design.This is marked with his trademark cross and date of 1985 on the bottom and is in pristine shape. Also stamped with his stamp on the front.The Beaumont jar endured a lot longer than that marriage, but alas! I must downsize now so the jar needs to seek another home!
