EXCELLENT VINTAGE GOLD-PLATED MABIE TODD EYEDROPPER FOUNTAIN PEN. GOTHIC PATTERN:

This is a Mabie Todd eyedropper fountain pen which is gold-plated in the \'Gothic\' pattern. With regard to date of manufacture, I would guess that it was prior to 1920. It has a capped length of 13.3cm.

There is an imprint, near to the end of the barrel, which reads \' \"Swan Pen\" Mabie Todd & Co New York. Made in USA\'. Both section and feed bear the Swan name and the imprint on the 14K Fine nib reads \'Mabie Todd & Co. Toronto. 2\'. (This is the only Swan \'Toronto\' nib I have ever seen in many years of collecting pens). The screw-on cap is the clipless type and there are no imprints.

The pen belies it\'s age and is invery nicecondition. There are no cracks or scratches and just a miniscule ding on the cap which is hardly noticeable. The pattern is beautifully defined. There is a little brassing to the end of the barrel due to cap posting but this has polished up extremely well. The cartouche is blank - no name or initials on the pen. The nib is lovely.

I have not filled the pen but I can see no reason why it should not work OK. I have dipped the nib into ink and can confirm that it writes well.

This is a really handsome vintage Swan pen which would enhance any collection. I\'m sure that the buyer will be delighted with it but, as always, a full refund will be offered if he/she is not completely satisfied with the purchase.
