Wow! This beautiful and rare Antique, early 19th century, Meissen meat platter will be the envy of your guests and/or a stunning addition to your collection. Huge for the period this 20\" x 15\" platter has a deep 2\" well for juices or to hold vegetables in surround. If you choose to use this please take care with serving/carving utensils. There are NO cut/scratch marks, through to white,on the hand painted flowers; 2 small 1/4\" light surface scratches on flowers are visible. The glaze retains it\'s high gloss and the gold is strong and bright. The flower and insect colors are strong and bright. There are few light scratches on white areas but not to exceed giving this platter a near mint condition report. There are no signs of restauration. No cracks, hairlines, chips etc.. This should be washed with a gentle liquid soap like ivory and your bare hand. Avoid harsh chemical detergents and scrub pads.
