Exceptional Hand Carved Quartersawn Oak Tall Case Clock. This incredible clock is beautiful, and much better in person than the photos. At 100\" tall, this amazing clock is hand carved, pierced carved, hash carved and has 4 barley twist columns, numerous detailed raised panels, two carved green man faces all made from gorgeous quarter sawn oak. The hand engraved face on the dial is beautiful depicting birds, cattails and lily pads on a pond. The original beveled glass is on the large lower door. The clock is professionally refinished including the movement which the expert with 40 years experience said was of the highest quality. It is an 8 day clock with hand painted moon dial. The bottom of the clock face is hand engraved \"Shreve, Crump and Low Co., Boston\" which was where it was sold. This is a very high end store comparable to Tiffany. The feet are also hand carved. This is a very rare probably one of a kind hand carved quarter sawn oak clock. It gongs once every half hour and on every hour with how many hours it is. It has the top second dial and bottom day of the week dial, along with the moon fase. The clock operates like new and sounds awesome.
