Stunning and exceptional large 1920s/30s Japanese Awaji pottery vase, with carved and glazed design. A tour de force of execution, including crackle glaze in gray and other glazes in bright green, blue (light and dark), pink, and yellow with Art Deco styling. Unusual design of berries and leaves. Small ear handles on upper portion. The condition is excellent. There is minor roughness on two small areas of the base where to glass-like thick glazes puddled and pooled. It is only in the glaze, not in the pottery. One small factory pin prick depression in upper area. A real stunner measuring 12 x 8 with 4 inch opening and 5 inch base.
