The Star ruby is a rare variety ofruby that exhibits asterism; a six-rayed star that shimmers over the surface ofthe stone when it is moved. The star effect is owed to aligned needle-likerutile inclusions. It is the rutile which is responsible for its silky shine. Surrounding the ruby are 8 dazzling diamondswith an estimated total carat weight of 0.25ct.The antique-style metal work on the gold is exceptional. The head measures 21mm x 14.3mm x 12mm, thering weighs 5 grams, and it has a ring size of 7.25. However, for a modest fee, the ring can beresized to fit your specifications.
