EXQUISITE~ This is one BEAUTIFUL Museum quality Antique womans VICTORIAN velvet coat. This coat is hand stitched features hand beaded with faceted black beads, embroidered silk or satin Soutache trim (the photos make the trim look more gray than black) on a jet black velvet fabric. Closes down the front with velvet loop closures (there are a couple buttons missing, the top faceted button may not be original~in the camera flash it looks blue in regular light it looks black the other buttons are covered velvet). Cute fitted peplum waist, fully lined with an off white rayon.

Measures roughly 18.5 inches from arm pit to arm pit flat across, the length is 21.5 inches shoulder to hem, the sleeves measures 19 inches, the waist is 14.25 inches flat across.

Please note these measurements are taken on the outside of the garment. It is always best to compare to a garment you own that fits you.

This piece is in overall EXCELLENT condition, no holes, spots or stains. Carefully stored for many years....I could not find any issues with this coat, the beading is all intact, no holes, stains or spots, the only thing was the missing buttons as mentioned earlier. It is excellent wearable displayable condition.
This lovely gem recently came from a very fine estate of Prominent Minneapolis family of great wealth along with some other very old antique trims, fabrics and clothing.

The photos just do not capture the true charm of this lovely gem. I will be happy to supply more photos upon request.
