This Native American turquoise ring is from our Family Estate. There are several pieces in a collection accumulated by my Mom. Most were purchased in the 1960s-1970s in Arizona. Some of the jewelry pre-dates that time frame and was purchased during World War II era when my parents lived in CA. A substantial amount was purchased from a Native American Navajo woman in Parker, AZ. From time to time we will list these pieces.
Up for sale is a large green blue turquoise sterling silver ring. It is very rustic, tarnished and needs polishing.
There is a single large turquoise stone set in the ring. According to our scale the ring weighs 1/2 ounce or slightly more than 14 grams.
The green stone is 25 mm x 16 mm at the widest points. It is mounted in silver that is 33mm x 26 mm. It is about 1\" wide. It is about 1 5/16\"long.It is 38 mm high. The round opening of the ring for a finger is 23 mm x 24 mm. The ring is shown on a male index finger of a hand size 9. This ring will fit a large hand.
There is minor wear to the ring and some scratches. The ring mount is very rustic and was worn very long ago. Due to its size, the ring was way too large for my Mom but she may have worn it on a sterling silver necklace years ago.
Truly impressive chunk of turquoise with one large vein and rustic mount.
