K&G Enterprises,purveyor among many things,John Rogers Statuary*,is pleased to place in salethis extremely rare Old Charley Teapot by Royal Doulton. With the lid handle,the teapot stands about 7.5\". Its width is ~9.25\" and is front toback, ~6\". It weighs 2 lbs. 5.1ounces--reported by an electronic digital scale. The pieces was apparentlyproduced in 1940 (add the 13 to the right of the trademark to 1927). The spout showsno distress whatsoever as the lower lip of so many spouts on teapots often do becausethey get bumped. This Old Charley is uncrazed. I mention that this teapotis in virtually perfect condition because its coloration does not appear tohave been evenly executed given that it is a bit thin in some places. This is,however, apparently typical of such Royal Doulton pieces from what I\'ve seen ofthem. The flash of my camera appears to have washed out the color of the pot a bit. Its colors are richer and deeper than they appear. I have found no rubs or rough spots save for what may be an almostimperceptible rough spot on the top inside of the spout. I mention it only forthe purpose of making a full disclosure. Old Charley Royal Doulton teapotsappear to be offered at prices between 1800 USD and 2300 USD. We however, arecontent to offer ours for a substantially lower price. S/H/I costs areestimated by and hold only within the contiguous 48 states of CONUS (what might seem to be relatively high S/H/I costs is the result of realistic shipping insurance--but better safe than sorry).Elsewhere, S/H/I will be calculated on the basis of that specific destinationif does not.
