This is one of the rarest jade items I have collected over the years. This dish is PAPER THIN and CARVED ON BOTH SIDES!! The workmanship obviously is tremendous! Even with todays machine, technologyand craftsmanship, it will be extremely tough to achieve such quality without breaking it! This piece is the only piece I have seen that is carved on both sides. The only other one I\'ve seen is illustrated on \" THE WORLD OF JADE, GREAT MASTERPIECES OF CHINESE ART\" by Gildo Fossati on page 33 of which I have a picture uploadedhere. This Mughalstyle dish is 5.4\" in length (13.7 cm) 5\"in width (12.6 cm) and about 0.8\" (2 cm) in height, other than some natural fissures and inclusions, and a tiny chip on top of the rim which is not noticeable, it is in very good condition. This is one of the finest pieces in my collection. Please study all pictures prior to offerding. The nicely carved wooden stand is alsoincluded. Serious buyers only please.
