The front Floral design is riveted on topIt opens from the side with a very unique closure: you have to press down the top the back part , to close it push it back there is a little button inside to put it back that clicks to keep it in place . Closure is secure and tight .Antique Condition: Very good besides Few stones have been replaced with man made stones over time , stones are different shapes but are original , normal wear for age and love. The \"Vermeil \" or Silver gilt is in very good condition , dark spots on silver gilt are just patina
