Description A stunning large-sizeddecorative English antique19th CenturyVictoriansolid sterling silverhinged photo locket, in excellent condition and with a full set of English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1881.Superb quality genuine 136 year old silver example, impressive size, has a hinged side opening and is decorated with beautiful \"aesthetic\" foliate & bird engraving and has an attractive beaded/ball edging. Has the original undamaged silver tear drop attachment loop and inside it is nice and cleanand still has itsremovable oval silver border retainer.There arenoadded personal engraved inscriptions or monograms. Comes complete with its original large decorative antique solid silver fancy link chain, (rare to find). Ready to be worn.

MeasurementsGreat size, measures approx. 2.45 inches (63mm) (including attachment loop), x1.5 inches (38mm)and is 0.4 inches (9mm) deep. Including the chain, the total length/drop is 10.55 inches. The silver link chain measures 17.15 inches in length end to end.

Hallmark stamps on the back, on the insideand is also stamped on the attachment loop. The silver fancy link chain is unmarked as is quite with these genuine Victorian examples and is 100% guaranteed antique solid sterling silver.MakerSilversmiths initials \"CS FS\", (Cornelius Sanders & Frank Shepherd - 1880-1887).ConditionExcellent condition, no splits or cracks, no solder repairs and no nasty knocks or dents, just a few tiny little shallow surface bruises, honestly nothing much at all and a stunning genuine 19th Century example with superb \"aesthetic\" engraved decoration.The side hinge still works perfectly and the lid opens and closes securely. Complete with interior oval silver photo border frame, lacking the perspex glass, very easily replaced. The beaded ball edging is all intact with no splits or losses and there are no added personal engraved inscriptions. The beautiful decorative silver fancy link chain is also in excellent condition with no splits or repairs and the large bolt catch works fine.
