Looks to have been much loved and very well cared for and its condition certainly reflects this.

Full working order and isan excellenttimekeeper(within +3/-3 minutesper 24 hours) with plenty of room on the regulator for any further fine tuning.

Fullychecked and serviced (usingMoebius oils)by my highly experienced watchmaker and is guaranteed to be 100% authentic - a timepiece to grace any impressiveand distinctive ivory dial in mint condition - absolutely no marks, scratches or fading.

Signed clearly in bold black script; SMITHS

and signed in an arc in black script to base of dial; MADE IN GT BRITAIN.

Bold black Roman numerals with black minute markers, bolder black, triangular shaped, five minute markers and bold black, diamond shaped 15 minute markers to chapter ring.

Recessed sub dial with black Arabic numbers and black seconds chapters.

Original,finely cut, blued steel spade and whip hands and original blued steel arrow tip seconds hand all in excellent straight order.

Original thick, slightly domed crystal in amazing clear and bright order, free of any scratches or marks.

CASE;-

The very highly polished/extremely ornate(please excuse any reflections in the pictures - was very difficult to photograph)original 12ct (tested) gold plated case (measures 5cm diameter / 6.5cm from top of bow to base) is insuperb condition(again looks to have been very much loved and cared for) with no absolutely no wear or indentations and just a few extremely light and short little micro surface scratches (usually caused by carrying the watch in a pocket with loose coins and other heavy objects jangling around)commensurate with age and use in her 48 years service. All surfaces both inner and outer retain their original deep, rich mirror finish.

The front bezel and back cover carry a crisp, totally un-worn engine turned decoration with the back cover having an un-engraved, highly polished, circular shaped cartouche to centre.

Both snap on and off correctly, closing tightly with a very reassuring click.

MOVEMENT;-

The stem wound and set, original mirror finish, pin pallet movement isin good, clean and brightorder and has just beenchecked andserviced.

Stamped on the top plates inlarge, clear, arched script; MADE IN GT BRITAIN and is numbered; 69 (1969).

Balance action is absolutely tremendous in all positions (could not be any better) and is keeping great time with a sure, strongpositive action and the loud Smiths tick!

Runs like a train!

Windsextremely smoothly and fully (please do not be afraid to fully wind - over-winding is the great horological myth!)

Good,original, large, flat topped \'onion\' crown.

Hand set operatessmoothly and correctly - the push down action is very positive and true.

Good,original, unworn, horse shoe shaped bow.
