First a disclosure, I bought this quilt in a Williamsburg Antique Mall, Virginia, in 2001 for a guest bedroom. Removed it when guest arrived. Eventually, life changed and the guestroom became my room and this beautiful quilt moved to a closet. Now downsizing and have decided to part with this, better someone else enjoy it, then to have it sit in a closet. Long way of warning you, I am not a quilt person, so if you have questions, please ask before you place a offer.
This beautiful quilt is made of wools, with a crazy quilt top pattern and with beautiful embroidery.
It measures 55\" in width by 77\" in length. It is delicately tied to a beautiful barkcloth backing of roses and birds. The last photo shows the green tie on the back, just a dot.
So much embroidery through out, please look closely at the pictures for the work and condition. The entire quilt is in nearly unused condition. No tears or damage, and only one very tiny dot on the fabric which shows up on picture 8 on the right side on green piece, if you look very closely.
