This is an amazing piece. Standard in Chinese Court necklaces, there are 108 rich jade beads, plus carnelian beads with black jade accents and a cloisonne clasp. There are the traditional three strands, which hang down, culminating in a spectacular piece of jade.

Chinese court necklaces were worn by ancient dynasties and the higher in the court, the more precious the beads in the necklace. This could be Mandarin but not sure of the dynasty nor the age.

The necklace measures 8.25 inches from the top bead to the first carnelian circle, which is 1.25 inches. The jade beads then are 4.75 inches until the jade drop, which is 3 inches by almost an inch, carved and rounded. The inside strand is 5.25 inches. The clasp adds an additional .5 inches.
