We are pleased to bring you this beautiful controlled bubble 3\" glass paperweight by Stephen Fellerman of Fellerman Studios. Fully hallmarked as you can see in photographs with \"Fellerman 89\". It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. It has a few areas of wear, mainly along the bottom as photographed. This piece is very interesting. It almost looks like a large pink strawberry in glass.
ABOUT STEPHEN FELLERMAN:Stephen Fellerman grew up in New York and attended Pratt Institute where he took a ceramics class and experienced working with his hands for the first time. Upon graduation, Fellerman headed west to Sausalito, CA to discover one of the most creative art centers in the country- a small glass studio (one of the few at the time). He later returned east to Kent, Connecticut to open his own studio, becoming one of the first studio glass artists to make a living from glassblowing. Responding to a style resurgence, Fellerman specialized in Art Nouveau inspired pieces, and his reputation grew. By the early 1980s, he began to branch out into more personal and original work. He had a passion for the process, and spent years refining its expression to “push the envelope” of his medium. His works are part of the Corning Museum of Glass permanent collection, Corning N.Y.; The Chrysler Museum, Norfolk, VA.; and the White House Collection, Washington D.C.; Queen Beatrice of the Netherlands, private collection.; and “North American Glass” Gilford Handicraft center, Gilford Connecticut; Hartford Square North.This would make an excellent gift.
