Description

This is a lemonade set made most likely by either Northwood or Fenton in a blue opalescent glass inverted Coin Dot / Spot or Thumbprint pattern - the “bumps” are to the interior of the piece rather than the exterior.  The pitcher has a ruffled top, with spout, and measures 9 1/2” in height.  Each tumbler measures 4” in height.  The white opalescent glass is applied to the top edges, with some slight appearance on the dots of the pitcher only, but not enough to see a gold opalescence on the dots on the body when holding the piece to the light (see photos).  The glass is definitely very old as there is a slight green fluorescence when viewed under an ultraviolet lamp.  There would have originally been six tumblers, but one is missing, however, one should be able to find one to complete the set.  Everything is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or pronounced wear - there is some dark material on the ground base of one or two of the tumblers, but this appears to me to be original and probably could be taken off, either by the right cleaning agent or grinding, although I wouldn’t bother as it’s quite minor in any case.

This is a very nice lemonade set, different from most opalescent coin dot sets that one sees - beautiful display addition to a collection!

Shipping

Canadian buyers, please note that although we offer shipping through Champlain, NY for our American customers, we are a registered business located in Canada and must therefore charge applicable GST/HST/PST to Canadian buyers - please read further to understand our shipping methodology and note all costs so that there is no misunderstanding when rating shipping costs post-sale.

I ship to my US clients through USPS services as long as the value of the item does not exceed $200. For items that sell for over $200.00, I must ship to my U.S. clients using Canada Post. This is due to restrictions outlined in the North American Free Trade Agreement, chapter 3.21.I am located in Canada but I have a carrier service to bring my parcels directly across the border on either Tuesday or Wednesday to be shipped out of the USPS postal outlet in Champlain, N.Y. In addition to the actual shipping cost, I do charge a $5.00 handling fee to help offset the cost of this special US service and new packaging for this piece. Please note that even with the handling fee that it is less expensive and is a quicker service than using Canada Post.

To my Canadian clients, I use Canada Post for shipping, as I am based in Canada - legally, I am not permitted to ship to you through the US, so do not rely on the US shipping calculator for costs.

To my International clients I can ship by either Canada Post or by USPS (in order to use USPS for intl. clients, the items must sell for under $200.00).

Please feel free to write with any inquiries in regards to cost of shipping to you.

Payment

Because I have a scheduled pick-up on either Tuesday or Wednesday, I would require your Paypal payment by Monday at 5:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time.

BUYER PAYS SHIPPING - PLEASE DO NOT PAY UNTIL I CONTACT YOU AFTER THE sale to avoid error. The reason for this is that package sizes and weights are estimates only as we cannot fully package items before they are sold. Please e-mail us for a shipping quote or wait until after the sale for a precise shipping cost. Our sales end on Sunday evening, so I will be in touch with the correct invoice on Sunday evening or by the latest Monday morning, after we have had the chance to carefully package your item.

I would request any client to get in touch with me upon winning an item, who is not able to pay by Monday at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, so I can get an idea of when to expect your payment.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE: CANADIAN RESIDENTS PAY GST/HST and QUEBEC RESIDENTS PAY BOTH THE GST AND PST TAX.
