DescriptionA WONDERFUL LATE 18TH OR EARLY 19TH CENTURY PERIOD CHILD\'S NEW ENGLAND THREE SPINDLE BACK ARM CHAIR WITH TURNED ARMS IN A WONDERFUL OLD GRUNGY IVORY PAINTED SURFACE AND PATINA OVER THE ORIGINAL RED WASH. New England, Circa 1790-1830, in Maple and Ash AND STILL RETAINING IT ORIGINAL (but well worn) SPLINT SEAT.
NICE FORM WITH THREE TURNED BACK SPINDLES. GREAT TURNED AND DECORATED ARMS.
GREAT OLD GRUNGY 19TH CENTURY IVORY WHITE PAINT THAT IS WELL WORN. IT IS OVER THE ORIGINAL RED WASH.
THIS IS A WELL USED AND WELL WORN PRIMITIVE PIECE.
The original splint seat is still there but there is some losses to the front as well as some old make-do repairs.
