Hand crafted from heavy gauge brass in sections, the main part of the body hand beaten from what looks to be a single sheet with soldered vertical joint, the top section made separately from a single sheet with vertical soldered joint and soldered to the body below, elongated oval relief panels to the top/middle section of the body and rolled over top rim, soldered base
Beautifully overlaid with silver and copper the oval body panels alternately overlaid with Middle Eastern designs and Arabic inscriptions, each panel with hammered circles and honeycomb designs, further inscriptions and designs to the base of the body, the top of the vase hand chased with further decoration
There is a hand written number or inscription to the base
Very good condition, very discoloured & requires major polishing to bring out some more of the hand chased detail or leave as is
