Hi, thank you for having a look at my items. This week we have listed over75FineEstate Found Treasuresales. Up for sale with is an excellent c1820 Georgian Period Old Sheffield Plate Wine Bottle Coaster or Decanter Slide. The Coaster is a very fine Period example with a very handsome Period design around the top border a nice flower petal form. The Original Carved Wooden insert is also in excellent condition, nice and solid and not loose in any way, though it has slightly shrunk, as you want to see on a period example. The Coaster is a great size for modern use measuring 6\" across the top by 6-1/2\" tall and will hold a bottle or decanter up to 4-1/4\" across. The Coaster is in excellent all original condition, you can even see the original seam, which is important to advanced collectors because it shows that it has never been replated. There is only the most minor Copper showing through, I am sure the new owner will be quite impressed and love it as much as I do ! The Decanter is part of our personal collection and of course not included.
