A fine large old Northwest CoastMakah QuilueteNuu-chah-nulth open work gathering basket dating from the very early 1900\'s.The basket is finely woven from cedar bark and dyed bear grasses. This fine rare open work basket with fancy loops has bands of colored naturally dyed bear grasses that make thevisual design of the basket really stand out. Thebasket has some old faded labels attached and is in fine original condition with no splits, damages or repairs.the basket measures 6\" in diameter and stands 5\" tall.
