Offered here is a pair of Victorian 10k yellow gold (with gold-filled screw back closures) sardonyx (hardstone) high relief cameo earrings.

These earrings are pretty amazing, when you look at the detail in the tiny cameo carvings--it must have been very difficult to carve something this intricate in such a small area, from a hard stone like sardonyx!

One flaw to point out in case you did not notice: One earring has an enameled triangle below the cameo, and on the other earring, it\'s missing. It would not be difficult for a jeweler to clip off the one triangle, if the difference bothered you. (probably nobody would even notice, with them being so far away on different sides of your head).

The frames are ornate, with a lovely shape and hand-etching in the gold--and the cameos are set in multiple prongs.

The frames test positive for solid 10k gold. HOWEVER, THE SCREW BACKS ARE NOT 10K, BUT ARE GOLD-FILLED.

These cameo earrings measure 7/8" by 5/8". They weigh 6.3 grams, and they are in good vintage condition other than the missing enameled piece mentioned above.
