This unheard-of saleis for a magnificent antique heavy sterling silver 8 1/4\" tall & slender coffee pot. Fully hallmarked for the highly desired London silversmith Richard Comyns dating to1930. You won\'t find another piece of this quality offered in a sale! They\'re always offered at high Buy It Now prices!

Offered in mint condition with no damage of any kind noticed. It stands rock solid with no wobble. The original lid hinge is excellent. The beautifully scrolled wood handle remains solid with no looseness often found.

A splendid highly collectible tall and slender antique coffee pot with a tall slender tapered form. The pot is fully hallmarked at the top left side just below the rim with \"RC\" in a shield for Richard Comyns of London, England, the lion passant for sterling silver, the panther head for location of London, England and date letter code \"p\" in a shield for 1930. Please see the many photographs for a close look!

This rare coffee pot bears a light age worn monogram \"S J P\" at the center of one side as seen. There\'s also an engraved dedication on the base of the pot that reads \"Robert and Josephine Brown June 1931 B MADE IN ENGLAND\".

Repairs at the attachment points or hinges are commonly found on pieces of this age as well as small dings and/or dents and scratches. This pot has none of those issues, making it a very rare and highly desired pot that would command extremely high prices in any retail setting! This handsome tall & slender sterling silverpot that will make a first rate decorator piece or a fully functional serving piece. Note the wonderful extra wide triple stepped pedestal base. The thick round hinged lid with an eight petaled floral decoration is excellent and closes tightly as it should.

This magnificent pot stands a stately 8 1/4\" tall to top of the carved wood finial with a 4 3/4\" diameter base. Note the extra thick applied 5\" long spout with ridged decoration at the top front and applied decoration at the bottom that extends onto the body. The 5 1/2\" long scrolled wood handle adds an elegant touch whose purpose is heat insulation. Total weight of the pot is a substantial 705.4 grams fine sterling silver!
