OFFERED FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION IS THIS FINE ANTIQUE SOLID SILVER SCENT BOTTLE FULLY HALLMARKED TO THE BASE AND TO THE INSIDE OF THE LID FOR CHESTER 1898 AND WITH THE MAKER'S S.M.&CO. FOR SAMPSON MORDAN.

THIS ATTRACTIVE ANTIQUE SCENT BOTTLE MEASURES APPROX. 5.5 CMS IN HEIGHT AND THE CYLINDRICAL BODY IS BRIGHT CUT IN AN ELABORATE FOLIATE AND SWAG DESIGN. THE TOP OF THE LID HAS A CIRCULAR CARTOUCHE THAT HAS BEEN ENGRAVED WITH INITIALS IN FANCY SCRIPT. THE HINGED LID OPENS TO REVEAL A BRIGHTLY GILDED INTERIOR AND THE INNER GLASS STOPPER (CHIPPED AT THE EDGES, AS SHOWN) IS FROZEN IN THE NECK.

THE BOTTLE IS OTHERWISE OFFERED IN VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH NO DENTS OR DINGS, SPLITS OR TEARS TO THE SILVER BODY OR LID. THE LID HAS STRONG HINGE AND FIRM CLOSURE. THE HALLMARKS ARE CRISP AND CLEAR.
