Roseville Futura Pottery VaseDescription and Item Information
Up for sale is this modernist, vintage Roseville art pottery vase. Please excuse the glare in the photos. This \"space capsule\" vase is from the much sought after Futura line. It has yellow and brown glazes over its art deco shape. This piece stands approximately 10 1/4 inches tall, and it has a maximum width of about 5 1/2 inches. This pot weighs about 3 pounds 5.1 ounces, unpacked. This is quite a statement piece, and it would look great displayed with other American art pottery.Identification
This is vintage Roseville pottery from the Futura line; it is shape 432-10. It has no markings except for \"432\" written in red grease pencil beneath.Condition
The vase looks very good overall. To the exterior, upper rim, there is an insignificant \"bruise\" or \"clamshell,\" where the pottery was bumped and it very slightly fractured but did not chip; this is about 1/4 inch long, and it does not detract because it is quite subtle (shown in seventh photo). There are no chips or repairs. This pot has fine crazing; the interior crazing has darkened. There is light wear overall. To the exterior, there are some scattered scuff marks. As made, there are variations in glazing, a couple of tiny, glazed over bumps, and a glazed-over, pinhead-sized indent. Please review the photos, and ask any necessary questions prior to offerding or buying. TERMS OF SALE (the not fun but unfortunately necessary fine print) 1. Sales Tax
Before merchandise is shipped to a California address (or picked up or delivered within California), a sales tax of 8% will be collected, unless the buyer provides a valid California resale certificate form by mail (or in person, in the case of pick up or delivery). The resale certificate must be properly filled out in accordance with California Board of Equalization regulations. No exceptions. 2. Payments
The buyer must prepay before merchandise is released. Paypal payments over $250 will only be accepted if delivery is to an address with a confirmed status. A signature will be required for delivery if the total Paypal payment for merchandise inside the parcel is greater than $250. Contact the seller in advance of offerding or buying to find out about accepted payment methods for local pick-ups or deliveries. Payments must be received within three days of the end of the listing, unless prior arrangements have been made. 3. Shipping and Handling
Good packaging is included; double-boxing is not included. Framed art will not be shipped unframed. The seller typically ships on Mondays and Thursdays, unless a holiday or special circumstance precludes it. If payment is via Paypal, the merchandise will be shipped on the seller\'s next shipping day after payment clears. The seller is not responsible for the transit time once the merchandise has been accepted by the shipping carrier. Economy shipping within the U.S. includes delivery to a physical address via an economy shipping method of the seller\'s choice. At the discretion of the seller, a faster shipping method may be utilized at no additional cost to the buyer. If the buyer prefers a different shipping method other than that chosen by the seller, or if delivery is to a post office box, additional shipping and handling costs may be required. In the above instances, the seller is happy to provide shipping quotes upon request. If international shipping is available, this will be indicated on the "Shipping and Payments" tab. International shipping is not free for the buyer; shipping costs are not negotiable. Shipping quotes must be requested prior to all international offerding or buying.
