FOR PURPLE MOUNTAINS MAJESTY ~1965 Original deep yellow stiff paper portfolio with black and red lettering; quarto (11 x 14.5 inches). Four (4) loose 11x14 reproductions of Ansel Adams\'s Yosemite images (12 x 9\" in the plate) laid in; with tissue guard suitable for framing.
Overall very good. The 4 prints are in very good vintage conditon, and include: \"El Cajon-Winter\"; \"Half Dome-Azaleas\"\'; \"The High Sierra from Glacier Point\"; and \"Yosemite Falls\".
Portfolio has minor traces of soiling, marks and slight creasing. The foil seal on the outside of the top flap has been broken but is intact.
This is a very nice, hard to find Ansel Adams item issued by American Savings and Loan. Forwards by Stuart L. Udall (Secretary of the Interior), Edmund G. Brown, (Governor of California), Charles A. Wellman, (President American Savings) printed on interior of bottom flap of portfolio. (Note: Actual prints do not bear watermarks).
Great for the collector or for framing.
