FRANCE - 2€ commemorative coin 2013 - 50 Years of Franco-German Friendship (Elysee Treaty) uncirculated coin from roll

The national side of the new coin will depict the signatories of the Élysée Treaty, Federal Chancellor Konrad Adenauer and French President Charles de Gaulle, together with their signatures and bilingual text denoting the occasion for the joint-issue coin. This side of the coin will be identical in both countries, except for the country designation and the national engraving mark.

On the other hand, the side of the coin denoting its value, together with the edge lettering and the general technical parameters, will be the same as on any “normal” two-euro coin. As always, the edge of the German two-euro coin will be embossed with the inscription “Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit”, as well as a stylised federal eagle.
