1962 TOPPS BASEBALL CARD (#7) SIGNED by FRANK THOMAS of the NEW YORK METS. This is the first year of the Mets\' franchise history. This card has surface wear and corner wear. The autograph is in dark ink pen.
Thomas played for the Mets from 1962-1964. He was their first star, hitting 34 home runs and driving in 94 in the team\'s first season. During his long career (1951-1966) he also played for the Pirates (1951-1958), Reds, Cubs, Milwaukee Braves, Phillies, Astros, Milwaukee again and Cubs again. Overall in 1,766 games he hit .266 with 286 home runs. Thomas is now 88 years young, residing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
