It is the first ever precision-engineered re-creation of an actual telegraph key and receiver now housed in the museum\'s own collection.This piece has solid brass components, copper plated coils atop veined green marble affixed to a mahogany stained wood base. Brass plate is engraved \'150th Anniversary Gold Rush Telegraph Station\'. Center plate is engraved with Samuel Morse\'s original telegraph code.The station measures approximately 14 inches across the base and consists of three parts: the Telegraph key, the receiver and the base.
