FRENCH 1890\'s Jean Pouyat Hand Decorated Dark Green, Pink, Whites & Gold Pitcher.Gorgeous, nice size, shape initials\"JP\" & V mark embossed into side of base = 1890-1891 period.
Unique dark green/blue base color, gobs of gold gilding-grapes & vines, great white & pink enameling.
Great shape, size. Perfect condition, a couple of very small nicks to gilt, some gilding scuff\'s on huge base rim!
Otherwise excellent to perfect, especially for a piece done by hand in 1891!!
Jean Pouyat, initials embossed along w/a # V indicates 1890-1891 period, French Limoges piece.
Limoges, France Mark as well.
Measurements are: 9 inches tall, 8 inches deep, 4 inches across top/mouth, 7 inches body to outsideof handle distance, body pretty much 4 inches cylindrical shape down to a huge under rimmed baseof 6 inches, not light, well made.
Gorgeous color combination with gobs of gold gilding all over the thing!!
