For sale is this fine late 19th century academical drawing, part of a set of three simular drawings, a find on a local market in the Gard (South of France).The drawing, executed in charcoal on 19th century laid paper, shows a study of a classical sculpture, depicting a female faun. The special aspect about this decorative drawing, is the way the sculpture is presented with a piece of cloth behind it.Authorship : the drawing is from the French School.Period : ca. 1890.Size : 57x44,3cm.Condition : Good.
