FRENCH SILK PETIT POINT EMBROIDERY, A RARE ANTIQUE ITEM CIRCA LT.1700\'S FRAMED THE VITO BELL COLLECTIONof Bellevue Ky. Vito was a collector of many fine items. Just beginning to sell his estate.. Size:31.5\" x 24.75\" Image : 27\" x 20.25\" A very rare piece. A very early and well executed embroidery. This piece is from the late 1700\'s to early 1800\'s. The quality is much finer than those of the Victorian era. It has wear to the background..yes. several small spots of silk deteriorationas seen. But, you will be drawn in by the quality and the detail of the actual image. Of museum quality in our opinion as we have sold many embroideries over the past, but rarely find one of this vintage. The old Victorian frame shows wear with some losses. A fine piece of art!
