FRENCH SILVER GREEN GLASS ANTIQUE GOTHIC DESKTOP LETTER DESK SEAL 1850 GARGOYLE:

This is for a beautiful antiqueFrench solid silver and glassdesktop seal dating to around 1850. The handle is emerald green glass and its been hand painted with fine gold decorations down both sides. It has an ornate silver gilttop that shows aslightly gothic gargoyle like face within the pattern, this is shown the same on both sides. The silver matrix is blankand the silver is gilded which displays beautifully.Both sections of the gilded silver have a little French silverboars head poincon silvermark. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks to the glass, no dents in the silver and no wear to the gold decoration on the glass. It measures 70mm (2.75\") tallby12mm(0.5\")square at the matrix.
