For sale is a gorgeous 6pc French Sterling Silver dessert set or \"Service à bonbons\" with pierced rococo and flower details in the Louis XV styling, circa 1880. Inside bowls are gold gilted vermeil, a magnificient work. It is fully made with .950 pure Silver from Silversmith CARDEILHAC. It is presented in its original red box with red interior and white satin, monogram GS on box.

The 6 pieces are small size servers that were very popular at the end of the 19th century in France and were used for small cakes and pastries.

Each piece is hallmarked with the French Minerve 1st titre mark, designating a silver content of .950/1000, which is more than the standard .925.

Hallmark with maker\'s mark for Parisian silversmith Armand-Edouard CARDEILHAC -EC+cross of honour+crescent- active in Paris 91 rue de Rivoli 1851-1904.

The set is in very good condition with very light surface scratches and few marks of use, goldgilt nice. Box opens & closes with a small gap, very wear outside, Inside is clean with some dirt on satin.
