You are viewing a wonderful MODERNIST Vintage Sterling Silver & Amethyst Spiky Brooch by ED LEVIN, ca: 1950s-60s, signed. This cool pin has a super modern look, spokes around a cabochon amethyst in center, signed LEVIN on the side of one spike, and sterling on another (could not picture), clear in person. Ed Levin was an American Modernist Silversmith out of New York in the 50s and 60s. (Vermont by mid 60s). This is a classic design of his. Personally I own a similar pin and had it made into a pendant, by a professional jeweler putting a silver bale hidden behind one spoke. This is a wonderful design, very sleek, elegant and modern.
The pin measures about 2.75\" x 2.75\", pin back works well, and is in very nice vintage condition. A great pin to add to your collection.
