Stunning Antique Victorian Hand Carved Cameo of Bacchus, c 1870. Carved in Amazing High Relief, this piece is truly an amazing miniature work of art!! It is signed on reverse by cameo artist \"P LE\". It is currently a display piece as a bale and pin were never added. One could easily add a bale or hanger to wear this as a pendant. The artistic detail in this carving is amazing. A traditional Greek profile in gown with fabulous carved leaves and grapes in hair. Simply gorgeous!! The mount is some type of simple base metal.
Cameo measures 1 3/4\" x 1 3/8\". This looks lovely in a tiny display stand or would be beautiful worn as a pendant if hanger or bale added.
