From a recent estate sale I have up in this sale a fantastic well detailed art deco era figure ( about 13 3/4”L X 7” T) of a Colonial couple on a seesaw. Made by world known Italian sculptor and modeler Luigi Fabris (1883 -1952) it is hand painted with lots of hand applied floral, a bush & grass on the bottom. The large painted log supports the couple. The mans cuffs are of Dresden lace and the woman’s dress is also made of Dresden lace.

In overall very good condition it does have some very minor and hardly noticeable chipping to the lace and floral.Thelog base where the man ishas been glued and the hat on the ground is missing part of the bow. All are shown in pictures 5,6, and 7. I do not see any crazing, cracks, other repairs or any major chips.

The bottom back base has the Fabris signature and model number in red.

Ibelieve this was madein the 1920’sor 1930’s.
