Fabulous pair huge American Mid century Modern curtains Lucienne Day style:

This is an absolutely amazing pair of original 1950\'s curtains featuring classic Atomic style motifs similar to those of UK designers Lucienne Day and David Whitehead etc.
We bought them years ago from a vintage dealer in Palm Springs on a trip to see the mid-Century modern architecture of Albert Frey and Richard Neutra etc. and the fabulous desert homes of Frank Sinatra and Bob Hope.
They were quite expensive as they\'re really rare pieces and they are in fabulous condition.
I think they are a really amazing pair of curtains with a lovely period feel. The browns, ambers and sage greens provide a subtle colour palette being warmer and more gentle than some of the brash/acid colours used in modern copies of the original 50\'s style.
We had them for years and as we live in a cottage have never had the ceiling height to use them. So they\'re as they were when we bought them.
Unfortunately there is no designer or makers name on the selvedge so I have no idea who designed them. The only information is the printed letters ISPA which I think is a reference to the American linen cloth.
They are lined and gathered into five pinch pleats at the top.MEASUREMENTS
52 inches wide reduced to 26 inches across the gathered
81 inches drop - but there is 4 inches of fabric doubled over in the hem. So they could be longer if needed.CONDITION
They look unused to me. There are no signs of wear and the pinch pleats are still crisp and sharp. The fabric is in great condition and the colours are all true.What looks like a fade in the full length pic is just an effect of the sunlight.
