Fantastic vintage REUGE music jewelry box with three dancing wedding couples. This box measures 12.5\" long by 8 1/8\" wide by 4\" deep. The reuge music movement plays \"I Could Have Danced All Night\". The music plays well and the dancers move and twirl around smoothly. The outer black vinyl surface is in good condition, there are a few indentations on the top where it appears as though something we\'re sitting on the top, and there is one corner in which the vinyl is nicked as shown in photo #7. The red burgundy velvet interior is in excellent, very clean condition.
The mirror is missing. One hinge is missing two nails-the wood appears intact and not cracked. And one of the dancing couples are missing their holding hands as shown in photo #4 with the damaged couple being in the front. One of the swing out compartments needs coaxing to close in completely. The closure clasp works well however I do not have the key. It stays in the unlocked position. The red satin attached to the inner lid could use some cleaning and will tuck in to the velvet border in the back after the hinge has been repaired.
