It has been tested to make sure it works, and is set for a three-way bulb. I was unable to find any others like this design. Instead of trying to look like bamboo, this is the modern design version of bamboo. The metal looks like patinated brass, but a magnet sticks to it, so it’s probably brass plated. The cord is a bit short for a floor lamp, possibly partially cut when the socket was put on, which is obviously newer. Based on the plug and design I’d date this lamp to the early 70’s. There are several green spots on the base, probably as a result of someone spilling their drink and not cleaning it up. The brass rings have a lighter natural patina from time. The sections with the darker patina are probably manmade. They almost look like the pattern off of an animal hide.
