This plate is in commemoration of Madonna and childon the night HE was born: THE HOLY NIGHT painting done by Carlo Maratta. It was a series ofplates produced for Mother\'s Day, each being issued in different years. The back of the plate reads in part:

This plateis about 7-5/8 inches wide but I believe that it was sold as an 8\" plate.There is noinformation to confirm this one way or another as Fenton didn\'t put it in their catalog as to the size.The plate stand shown is not included in this sale.I see no chips, cracks or repairs. Please keep in mind that this is not new and has been used or displayed sinceit was made.
