This sale is for a amber brown snow crest hurricane lamp with a spiral optic pattern. Fenton began to make many crested items in the 40’s. Most of these items had a white (milk) glass inside and a colored or crystal edge. In 1950, they began to experiment with“snow crests”— a colored inside and a white or milk glass edge. They made the snow crests in several colors, which are highly sought after today. This particular example is a amber color with the white edge.
It is about 10 inches tall.
Good, factory condition with no chips or cracks. It has the standard,“as-made” Factory roughness on the bottom of the shade. The Factory ground the bottoms to make them sit level, and this results in roughness.
