Fine 19th C HANAU? German Rococo Style Silver BASKET-Swing Handle-Pseudo Marks:

For sale is a nicely chased 19th C “antique”style silver basket, probably a product of Hanau, Germany but possibly Dutch. The basket is 9 ½ inches tall to the top ofthe handle by 5 3/8 inches across by 3 7/8 inches wide and weighs 276 grams. Itis decorated with raised romantic scenes and scrolling panels, and has a flaredfour lobed foot. It has not beenmonogrammed. It is marked on the basewith three unidentifiable antique-looking stamps.<P>

Condition on the basket is good. It is rather crudely made, but there islittle damage and no repairs. One footis slightly creased. A nice decorativepiece of European silver!<P>
